HSE includes environmental conservation and protection, sustainable development, occupational health, safety, oil spill, and emergency response preparedness and management.Our safety policy is based on sound principles and includes compliance to applicable national and international safety regulations, standards and best practices.We promote sustainable development, the efficient use of natural resources and energy, and respect for the environment. We seek to achieve the highest level of HSE management systems for our staff, and the community at large.
Prisko is committed to protecting, preserving and enhancing the quality of the work environment while conducting its business activities. Our program is built around prevention, compliance, conservation and restoration.We conduct our business in an environmentally-responsible manner, using the latest technology and techniques to optimize the extraction of resources through the use of highest-efficiency practices and procedures; preventing adverse impacts and complying with applicable requirements.Hence our objective entails mitigating adverse environmental effects so as to realize the benefits of superior environmental performance through risk management, pollution prevention and sustainable development techniques will improve environmental performance while reducing operating costs.
We give priority to the following items:

  • creation of the atmosphere based at openness, mutual respect and cooperation;
  • working out of personnel motivation system which would enable each employee to count on career growth and consideration corresponding to his\her professional level and his/her personal contribution to Prisko’s work;
  • improving of social defense of the employees;
  • giving employees the opportunity of training and upgrading.

The Company's employees form the basis of Prisko’s potential.The Personnel Management Policy is a policy of an integrated company, having a strong and stable corporate culture and a well-shaped system of corporate values.Given that our employees' professionalism and their satisfaction with their work are considered a basis of the Company's prosperity, we adopted a Personnel Management Policy, a comprehensive document in the area of human resources management that relies on the fundamental principles of the Prisko’s activities and mission, to be one of the leaders among the largest energy companies in the Kenya.The basis of the Personnel Management Policy is creation of a system providing for specific measures:

  • To provide incentives for each employee to achieve objectives stipulated by the Company's strategy;
  • To define criteria for results evaluation; and
  • To reward and provide incentives for employees.


The main goal of the Personnel Management Policy resides in the creation of such human resources management system, which would enable Prisko to have a stable status of the "preferable employer" in the labour market.

Prisko reaffirms its commitment to act responsibly and to engage in an open and constructive dialogue with its stakeholders such as shareholders, employees, governments and local communities, as well as business partners, contractors, industry groups, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), international organizations, academics and media.Stakeholder engagement enables stakeholders to bring their perspectives to the attention of the Company and for the Company to be aware of and as a result manage stakeholder issues, risks and opportunities. It may take place at a local, national or international level; cover commercial, environmental, governance, human rights, operational, social and other relevant issues; and vary in form and timing according to the type of issues involved.
Steady development of in the longer term cannot be achieved without establishing credibility in its relationship with shareholders, investors, contractors, employees and the society as a whole.Confidence can be achieved by maintaining high standards of ethical business practices and taking due care for wider public. In this respect, the Company in its business practices considers it necessary to take into account socially significant aspects of its activity and its responsibility in respect of all parties concerned.

We also look at our service provision processes, identifying the potential for errors and taking the necessary action to eliminate them and lastly, everyone to understand how to do their job and doing it right first time.To ensure that the policy is successfully implemented, staff will be responsible for identifying customer requirements, and ensuring that the correct procedures are followed to meet those requirements.Objectives needed to ensure that the requirements of this policy are met and that continual improvement is maintained in line with the spirit of the policy, will be set, determined and monitored at Management Review.Our Company will constantly review and improve on our services to ensure tasks are completed in the most cost effective and timely manner for the benefit of all our customers.We shall ensure that all our personnel understand and fully implement our Company's policies and objectives and are able to perform their duties effectively through an ongoing training and development programme.

This policy reaffirms our commitment to environmental stewardship and protecting the well being of our customers, employees and the public.The management is committed to, and accountable for, implementing, maintaining, measuring, and improving the environmental, health and safety programs of the Company. Self assessments of our performance in these areas will be routinely conducted. We will measure performance and hold all employees accountable through performance enhancement processes.
Compliance with all applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations is required. All of our employees, from the officer level to the front line, are responsible and accountable for compliance and have an obligation to bring issues and concerns forward for resolution. We will actively seek sound business opportunities to go beyond regulatory requirements.
We will responsibly use natural resources, such as air, water, soils and forests, and we will help to conserve these natural resources through efficient use and careful planning. We will pursue an energy resource plan that emphasizes environmental protection, energy conservation and efficiency. We will responsibly address conditions that endanger health, safety or the environment.
